Filiz KAHRAMAN ALİÇAVUŞ, PhD

"I am an associate professor in the Physics Department at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University, specializing in the photometric and spectroscopic studies of single and binary pulsating stars of types B, A, and F.

I earned my PhD in the Astrophysics Department of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences in 2017. My doctoral dissertation focused on the spectroscopic and photometric examination of A/F type pulsating stars. During my PhD research, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Dr. Ewa Niemczura at the University of Wroclaw as part of an international research fellowship.

Following my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher for two years on a project led by Prof. G. Handler. Currently, I am continuing my research at Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University and am a proud member of the Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University Astrophysics Research Center and Ulupınar Observatory.
